Some Things You Can't Return
Often guests forget their things
Leave their hats, their coats and rings
Other people leave their stains
Leave their shadows leave their pains
Some people leave their bones
Some things you can't return
The shadows people leave behind
Eventually you're bound to find
Something you may never see
Still it haunts your memory
Some people bring their stones
Never take them home
Things you can't return
Some people leave their bones
Some things you can't return
Houses have a memory
Houses have a memory
The more you carry in
The more you leave behind
The more you carry in
The more you leave behind
And what you leave behind
Some things you can't return
Often guests forget their things
Leave their hats, their coats and rings
Other people leave their stains
Leave their shadows leave their pains
Some people leave their bones
Some things you can't return
The shadows people leave behind
Eventually you're bound to find
Something you may never see
Still it haunts your memory
Some people bring their stones
Never take them home
Things you can't return
Some people leave their bones
Some things you can't return
Houses have a memory
Houses have a memory
The more you carry in
The more you leave behind
The more you carry in
The more you leave behind
And what you leave behind
Some things you can't return
And to think I had forgotten... I see traces of you, and cringe, but it's too late - we share the same searchable world. Now my life like a cigarette burning down the side, while the days one by one all passing by, and the time is slowly winding down. I am here. I've been waiting for too long. I no longer smoke, and my life is spotted with empty bits, but I like to think they form a beautiful pattern on the fabric of reality.
Sometimes I feel so broken I think I'll never be whole again. But then... I'm still alive. This is my miles away smile, on the day of forgiveness.
Italics not mine (thanks, Devon Graves).
I tried to put some music on the right.
